Japanese Motorcycle Archive is an independent archive presenting Japanese motorcycles and their culture across eras, manufacturers, categories and engine types. It is not a used-bike marketplace, a price comparison site or a new-model catalogue.

Figures such as production years, model codes, displacement, output and weight are published only when confirmed by manufacturer material, museums, government documents, official records or reliable references — and each value carries its source. Unverified values are not shown.

Output is recorded exactly as published (PS, hp or kW, never converted), and market differences such as domestic versus export specification are kept distinct. Competition machines are listed separately from road models.

Videos are quoted through YouTube's embedded player from the official channels of rights holders — manufacturers, race organisers, museums. Nothing is copied or redistributed, and the channel name and original title are always shown. Videos with embedding disabled, and third-party re-uploads, are not used.

Images come from Wikimedia Commons and similar repositories, with the licence, author and source checked for each individual file. Appearing on Wikipedia is never treated as permission. Rights in model names and trademarks are handled separately from copyright in photographs.

Where no suitable licensed image exists, the machine is presented typographically instead.

This site is not the official site of any manufacturer and has no affiliation with them. Company names, model names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Published in Japanese and English, with a structure ready for French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Korean.
